Djuråsskolan is a school for grades F-9 with approximately 540 students and an after-school center. We place great importance on safety and a conducive study environment and have a well-functioning safety team that works systematically on these issues. With us, all students should feel they can be themselves. Our students thrive and develop at their school, thanks to our dedicated staff. We are now looking for a physical education teacher for the younger grades, initially for the remainder of the spring term.

In Gagnef Municipality, we have predominantly qualified teachers in our schools, which we are very proud and happy about. We offer continuous professional development to improve teaching. Some of our schools accept students from teacher education programs, an exchange that enriches us with new research on school development.

We strive for close collaboration within work teams regarding the students to create safe and inclusive learning environments for all children. We are investing in developing student health work, a responsibility we all share as school staff. Students in grades 3-9 have 1:1 laptops, and other classes use iPads in teaching.

Responsibilities

Conduct teaching as a physical education teacher for the younger grades and adapt the learning environment based on each student's individual needs. Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests, both individually and together with the work team. Together with the work team, you contribute to creating a holistic approach to the student. Teaching at Bäsna School (grades 1-3) may also be included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with teaching qualifications in physical education for grades 1-6. It is important that you have good knowledge of children and adolescents' knowledge development, and knowledge within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) is an asset. You should have good IT skills, and knowledge of using digital tools in a learning process is an asset.

To succeed as a teacher, you must have good leadership skills, pedagogical insight, and the ability to collaborate. It is also important that you are structured, flexible, and self-reliant.

Terms

100% temporary position during the spring term 2026 with a start date of April 13, 2026. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment period.

Before employment, a teaching license and a valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record register must be presented. The position may be advertised as permanent during the employment period.
